Synopsis
Frankie Genno is a small-time criminal, a drug dealer with links to some serious players in Chicago's underworld. He has dreams of playing with the big boys, dreams which lead him to plan a bank heist. Easy money.
Except his girlfried, another coke addict like Frankie, turns stookie and Frankie ends up behind bars, a couple of deaths on his hands. And Frankie's dreams become a single-minded obsession-getting revenge on Anne Stratton, the girl who has put him away. She has to die.
Anne has moved, changed cities, name and looks. Even changed her habits -- no more coke for her. Her only contact with her past is the Witness Protection Programme (WITSEC) which helped her relocate after the trial. And when she learns that her old contact is dead, killed after apparently selling WITSEC documents on the black market, she knows her life is in danger.
For Genno has broken out of jail, and now he's looking for Anne . . .
