The book, edited by David Tremayne, guides you through the first five decades of the F1 world championship with quality black-and-white and colour pictures reflecting the ever-changing direction and pace while also capturing the mood of the sport. Tremayne's obvious knowledge and love of the ever-growing global sport puts the reader in pole position and gives them an insight into the many different behind-the-scenes players who help to put the cars on the grid. The occasional Sunday racing viewer, as well as the die-hard pit-lane enthusiast, will not be disappointed in this publication, which represents money well spent, and all will find many sections to educate or jog their memories from days gone by.
