Review

If you've ever laboured under any illusions that any Microsoft product designed for the Windows 98 environment was the best thing for creating beautifully laid out publications, then this is certainly the book for you.

Part of Dorling Kindersley's "Essential Computers (Electronic Publishing)" series, it's DK up to their usual standards: delightfully well-produced, great illustrations, text not worth bothering about. Fortunately when you're learning to use software, diagrams speak louder than text anyway, so you're off the hook.

If you're bound and determined to labour intensively using Publisher 2000 instead of just buckling down and buying QuarkXpress or even Adobe PageMaker, you'll find this an invaluable guide to doing so. --Liz Bailey
