The book is intended to be a standard text for those preparing for examinations, as well as an essential purchase for the practising anaesthetist who wants a quick reference to current knowledge. The previous Anaesthesia A-Z proved to fill a niche in the available literature and this new edition has built on that success.

An incredible amount of information is to be found in detailed but concise entries intelligently arranged and cross-referenced. It is an easy-to-use, fast reference text of value to FRCA students, their tutors, jobbing anaesthetists and their assistants.
Anaesthesia
There was not much room for improvement from the previous editions of this book, but this has been achieved. Not only aesthetically . but also with the content update and clearer illustrations. We would recommend this book to all anaesthetists in training.
British Journal of Anaesthesia
An invaluable text for those at any stage of training and to those who wish to use it as a ready reference text...an essential addition to any anaesthetic department for both anaesthetists and intensive care practitioners.
International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia
With current International and UK government policy on health and social care reflecting a much greater public health focus, the time is ripe for midwives to fully capitalise on their professional skills allowing them to make a real contribution to the improvement of the public’s health.
This text takes the reader through the key concepts of community and public health and provides guidance on identifying health needs within a community setting. While drawing on a range of literature and research, the focus is clearly on the midwives role and provides a sound knowledge base from which practitioners can develop and improve their practice and contribution to public health care provision.
