This second edition expands on the introduction to the concept of symmetries in electromagnetism and explicit symmetry breaking. It addresses some of the recent developments in the field of radiation from magneto-electric materials and ferroelectric materials and correlate them to the nature of symmetries in physical systems.

Hardcover. Condition: new. Hardcover. The book aims to unravel some of the naturesmysteries by correlating the nature of fields and the transformations in theirsymmetries. It begins with a brief background on the foundation of symmetry andits meaning in fields such as architecture, mathematics, and physics. A special focus of the book is on theconcept of symmetries in electromagnetism and explicit symmetry breaking whichgenerates radiation. Despite the extensive developments of the concept ofbroken symmetry in different domains of physics, it has yet to be appliedwithin the context of classical electromagnetism and related engineeringapplications in a broader context. The main audience for the book includes industry specialists and scientistsworking in the field of antennas and wireless technologies. The book is alsohighly useful to research scientists working within electromagnetics.KeyFeatures:Presentsa brief overview of the concept of symmetries and broken symmetries indifferent domains of physicsHighlightsthe role of broken symmetries in electromagnetic radiation.Providesa clear explanation of Gauge Fields in radiation.Offersa strong theoretical foundation of radiation from non-metallic systems.Itholds special importance for antenna designers which is gaining importanceagainst the framework of our current shift to 5G and related wirelesstechnologies This second edition expands on the introduction to the concept of symmetries inelectromagnetism and explicit symmetry breaking.
