Synopsis
A group of travellers from Earth come to set up a new colony on the distant planet of Isis and are welcomed by Olwen, the Keeper of the Isis Light. One of the young settlers, Mark, soon discovers that whilst he and Olwen are very different, there is a strange bond that draws them together.

About the Author
An internationally renowned children's author, Monica Hughes is a master of science fiction and fantasy writing. She is the recipient of numerous awards and is the author of The Isis Trilogy and A Handful of Seeds. She lived in Edmonton, Alberta and died in 2003.
