Steven Earnshaw is the published author of numerous short stories, essays on creative writing and books, ranging from Beginning Realism to The Pub in Literature (the essential work in the field). He has contributed to scholarly journals, edited collections and was a winner of the 2011 Brontë Society Literary Competition. During the day, he is Professor of English at Sheffield Hallam University. He has been involved in digital art collaborations.

About the Author

Steven Earnshaw is Professor of English at Sheffield Hallam University. Publications include Beginning Realism (2010), Existentialism (2006), The Pub in Literature (2000), and The Direction of Literary Theory (1996). He has also published short stories, essays on creative writing and other topics, and been involved in digital art collaborations. He was previously Head of English at Sheffield Hallam University, and Course Leader of its MA Writing.
