A succinct summary of this complex subject matter. The author does not pretend to have solved the problem of finding one's way through the forests of theoretical approaches to magic and religion. Rather his goal is to wet our appetite and stir the curiosity. The author's intent is to offer an overview and introduction to the study of the sacred and several scholars.
