About the Authors
Richard Platt is the author of Pirate Diary, which won the Kate Greenaway Medal, the Silver Smarties Book Prize and the Blue Peter Award for Best Factual Book, and Castle Diary, which was Highly Commended for the Kate Greenaway Medal and shortlisted for the Kurt Maschler Award.
Chris Riddell is one of today's most popular illustrators. He has illustrated over 100 books for children of all ages and has won lots of awards including the Kate Greenaway Medal (twice!). He lives by the seaside in Brighton with his wife and 3 children.
