Synopsis
Square Enix’s Romancing Saga begins a thousand years ago when Saruin was imprisoned. But the barriers that contain him are weakening, and his foreboding shadow threatens to swallow the world of Mardias once again. Who will rid the world of Saruin's scourge? In this free-roaming scenario system, players have the choice of eight intriguing playable main characters, each with their own adventures and goals. Throughout their journey a mysterious minstrel sometimes guides the player’s party to adventure and at other times protects it from shadow. Occasionally he forces upon the gamer grave choices that will change the world in which they travel - and twist the plots they encounter.
