Synopsis
Two young women--Mindy Solomon who dreams of becoming a Broadway dancer, and Ursula Duran, seeking an escape from her overbearing mother--come to New York to pursue their individual aspirations but soon find their lives taking whole new directions as Mindy becomes a stand-up comic and Ursula becomes a cover girl, in a whimsical story of friendship, fame, and the pursuit of happiness. A first novel.

About the Author
Rita Rudner is well known for her prowess as a comedian. Less well known are her accomplishments as an author and screenwriter. Coauthor of the screenplays for the award-winning films Peter's Friends, which starred Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh, and A Weekend in the Country, which starred Jack Lemmon, Rudner is also the bestselling author of two previous books: Naked Beneath My Clothes and Rita Rudner's Guide to Men.
