About the Author

Patricia C. Heindel, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J., has been teaching in higher education for 25 years. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Rowan University and her Ph.D. in psychology from Rutgers University. Dr. Heindel teaches undergraduate courses in research methods, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, and sensation and perception, as well as graduate courses in counseling research.
