Synopsis
This new Fact Finders series explores the historic development of modern technological inventions from the late 19th through the 20th centuries. Readers will learn about the historic context out of which the inventions arose, the people behind the inventions, and how the inventions have changed our lives. This series explores and supports the standard "Science, Technology & Society," as required by the National Council for the Social Studies, and the standard "Major Discoveries in Science and Technology, Their Social and Economic, Effects, and the Scientists and Inventors Responsible for Them," as required by the National Standards for History.
