About the Author

W. Larry Kenney is a professor of physiology and kinesiology at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. Jack H. Wilmore is professor emeritus of the department of kinesiology and health education at the University of Texas at Austin. David L. Costill is the emeritus chair in exercise science at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He established the Ball State University Human Performance Laboratory in 1966 and served as its director for over 32 years.
