About the Author
Larry Isaacs is a professor of exercise science at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He has worked at the university since 1979, teaching both undergraduate and graduate students in courses covering exercise prescription, motor development, motor learning and research methods. A prolific writer, Isaacs is the author or co-author of 10 other books and numerous scholarly articles. He is a Research Fellow of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, with whom he is certified as a Health/Fitness Instructor. Roberta L. Pohlman is an associate professor of biological sciences at Wright State University. She is certified as an exercise test technologist by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and serves as an American Red Cross CPR and first aid instructor trainer. She has also served on the editorial advisory committee for Future Focus, a journal of the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, and on the editorial review boards for Strategies and JOHPERD, which are both journals of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
