About the Author

Kathleen M. Haywood is associate dean for graduate education at the University of Missouri, where she has taught courses in motor behaviour and development, sport psychology and biomechanics. Nancy Getchell is an assistant professor at the University of Missouri and has contributed to the study of motor development for more than 15 years.
