About the Author
William Morris (1834–1896) was a British designer, poet, and socialist, renowned for his pivotal role in the Arts and Crafts movement. Born in Walthamstow, Essex, he studied at Oxford and later co-founded the design firm Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. (later Morris & Co.), which became a cornerstone of Victorian interior design.
