Synopsis

The book is structured conventionally, beginning with normal anatomy, followed by examination techniques for both patient and physician. Growth/development problems are then covered, followed by a chapter on epidemiology, including analysis of clinical presentations by age and race. Breast disease is much less common in non-white races, for example Japan and China have very low rates of breast disease. The following six chapters deal with breast disease both by type and by site. The few systemic problems are also covered. Chapters on classification and management, outlining surgical strategies and their indications, complete the book.
