David Parry-Jones is a Welsh sports commentator and writer. He was a long-time presenter on BBC Wales Today and is a former rugby analyst for BBC Radio 5. He is a trustee of the Wales Video Gallery and is the author of numerous books on the sport of Rugby; including several on the history of rugby in Wales. He wrote a number of books in the 1980’s titled Boots, Balls and Banter of which this is the 1982 edition. The cover has a blue background and depicts a scantily clad female holding two rugby balls across her breasts. The book is an often hilarious collection of the knockabout humour of players, officials and spectators… some of the best exchanges form annual dinners, pubs and changing rooms… and the quickfire ripostes from the pitch and terraces.
