Book is solid and bright with red cloth binding, gilt on front board and along spine; 661 pages, index, glossary, fold-out historical b + w map. Overall, very good for its age. Some age-toning, yellowing to the white jacket, rubbing, wear along edges with light soiling; UCLA original price sticker (1979) inside jacket flap. The boards are nice with minor wear, fading; small chip bottom edge. Mild reading wear, some overall age-toning to the pages; some age-toning, tanning to endpapers, heavier at rear of book.
