Seller: The Bark of the Beech Tree, Depoe Bay, OR, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Robert Kresin, et al (illustrator). Originally published in 1934 as a 7-volume anthology of stories and factual - mostly scientific - information, the Childcraft Library expanded to 15 volumes in the 1950's and went through many revisions and new editions thereafter. This volume, number 7 of the 15, is in the "Heritage Binding" and its 14 sections cover everything a young inquiring mind is likely to want to know. From how a door works, to a study of the air brakes on a train, the book contains masses of photographs, diagrams and illustrations from Robert Kresin, Francis Chase, Roswell Brown and others. Covers are a little soiled and slightly worn at extremities. There's a small stain on front endpaper and the leaf is dog-eared (why?!). A very good copy. Seller Inventory # 001754
