Synopsis
Ranulf Rayner; a keen sportsman, follows the changing pattern of shooting and game management around the world, and examines the evolution of the guns themselves, the effect of field sports on the environment and possible future developments. The captivating text is illustrated with beautiful colour paintings by some of the masters of the past as well as specially commissioned pictures by Andrew Ellis, who was named British Young Wildlife Artist of the Year aged only 15.

About the Author
Ranulf Rayner has lived all his life in Devon, a county renowned for its sporting opportunities. He now manages an agricultural estate, is chairman of the South Western Region of the British Field Sports Society and founding member of the Devon Association of Sporting Shots. Andrew Ellis is an accomplished artist whose favourite hobby is hawking, and has been able to combine both for this book. He lives in Kingsteignton, Devon.
