Synopsis
This is a picture book of many of Rowland Hilder's never before published watercolour paintings. It contains images of a wide variety of places throughout the British Isles, all rendered in Hilder's inimitable style. The pictures are accompanied by an essay written by his son-in-law Rado Klose. It gives a very personal insight into the private, family man as well as into the well-known artist. This book should be a must for all Hilder enthusiasts. Most of the images in the book have never before been published so fans will want this book to add to their collection. The book will also appeal to all lovers of British landscape paintings. The recent Dimbleby television series highlighted the British enthusiasm for landscape paintings and this book should find favour even with those who hadn't come across Hilder and his work before.
