The Adlard Coles Book of Navigation is aimed at anyone with an interest in navigating small craft, but particularly at those working towards RYA Day Skipper, Yachtmaster, Motor Cruising or Advanced Powerboat certificates, or attending the RYA Radar course. Electronics have gained such widespread acceptance over the last decade that even a modest family cruiser is likely to have an electronic navigation capability comparable with that of a small warship of twenty years ago. Using plain English to strip away the jargon, this book sets out to demystify the technology behind modern marine electronics, and to explain how the various systems work and how to get the best out of the equipment available. The Adlard Coles Book of Electronic Navigation is set to become the definitive book on the subject.
