Synopsis
Synthesizing a range of ideas in the social and political sciences that may be outside geographers' normal reading, and offering in-depth interpretation, this seeks to understand the allocation of key resources in contemporary society. Housing, work, crime, gender and race are all considered in chapters which provide an understanding of relevant theory within a spatial (urban/rural, inner/outer city) context.
