I first bought this book in 1975 I could not play the harmonica. Within three months there were people who thought that I was pro. I wasn't and I was not that good, but it goes to show you that the book really helped me. Plus, all the recordings and personalities that it mentions became my mentors and heroes. There was even a time later when I was in a band. I was called T-Bone. It was kind of a joke but it was really fun. Back when I bought it first, the instructional recordings were on a plastic page inside the book. I took that page out very carefully and put it on my record player. And I learned! You can download them now from iTunes. But I think the book is a classic. It won't take long until you can make a harp sound like a train (comin' downah track). Harp is the name for a blues harmonica that a very cool blues dude like Tony Glover uses.
