His stunning colour photographs for the worldwide best-seller James Herriot's Yorkshire contributed to its success and he had a long and fruitful association with Alfred Wainwright. As an author in his own right, Derry has written and illustrated a dozen books including The Roads to Santiago and Pilgrimage. Derry lives in Harrogate, Yorkshire.
