Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. All three volumes of this work. Volume 1 was published in 1973 with the second and third volumes following in 1976 and 1979. All three are first printings. Volume 1 has light denting to the fore edges of the boards and a little browning to the page edges which are a little uneven. The jacket is price clipped and has quite heavy fading to the spine and the left and top edges of the front panel. There is also a faint mark to the left side of the front panel left by a rubber band that was behind the jacket - this has also left a faint mark to the reverse. Volume 2 has a small dent to the rear panel and some light browning to the page edges. The jacket has a faded spine. Volume 3 is a review copy with a publishers compliments slip laid in. The boards have a small dent to the edge of the rear panel and a tiny surface tear to the front panel. Slight browning to the page edges. The jacket has heavy fading to the spine and the left and top edges of the front panel with a half-inch closed tear to the top left corner of the front panel. Browning to the rear panel.
