Synopsis
The book is a collection of Arthur Grimble's field notes and early writings, which his daughter has put together in book form, which some linking pieces and a large number of illustrations. Rosemary Grimble has added references to recent work on the origins of Pacific Island races, many of which support her father's own beliefs. She has also included extract from recent books on bird migration, because it has been suggested that on some of their voyages the Pacific Islanders may have followed migration birds.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. GRIMBLE, Rosemary (illustrator). Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners and edges are slightly worn. Spine is intact with just a little mild bumping to ends. Pages tops are a little grubby. Textblock is in good condition, clean and tight. Just a little fox to the endpages. Pagination: vii, 316 pp. Also contains a newspaper cutting, and a greetings card with discussion and signature of Rosemary Grimble. Pictoral finished paper dust jacket with green lettering to spine and front. Dj is in a good condition albeit with some mild creasing to the edges but has an oddly uneven fade. Priceclipped. Additional photos are available upon request. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 1199g.
