Synopsis
Engaged in a police surveillance operation on the Somerset Levels, DC Kate Hamblin leaves the van momentarily and narrowly escapes death when it is blown apart by an incendiary device. Accused of abandoning two colleagues who died in the explosion, Kate is excluded from the resultant murder hunt and effectively suspended from duty. About the Author
A former superintendent with Thames Valley Police, David Hodges is a prolific writer and former essayist. His first published crime thriller, Flashpoint, attracted critical media acclaim, prompting a second hard-hitting novel, Burnout, and his enthusiasm for crime fiction continued undiminished with Slice, the first of his thrillers published by Robert Hale.
