Synopsis

When Rose Charteris arrives in Constantinople, the last thing she expects is to come face to face with Tom Hawkesleigh, the man who broke her heart four years previously, but there he is...and worse is yet to come. Rose is forced to work with Tom on a top secret document for the Sultan. Spied on by all sides, she must affect a polite indifference and get the job done, despite her inner turmoil. Finally, Rose is free to return to London but danger follows her. Tom is desperate to help but the fiercely independent Rose has other ideas. Underneath her tough facade, however, Rose is still in love with the man who abandoned her all those years ago. Can she swallow her pride and let him in again? Or is it too little, too late?
