Mari A. Williams is research fellow and project leader at the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, Aberystwyth. She is the author of The Welsh Language and the 1891 Census and is the editor of 'Let's Do Our Best for the Ancient Tongue.' She lives in Deganwy, Wales.
