Synopsis
This work takes the reader on a journey through Southern Africa as in a quest to understand development. The basic agricultural regions, products and methods used in Southern Africa as well as rainfall, crop and livestock distribution are introduced. There is a focus on land and soil management, water conservation and recycling. Different interpretations and understandings of the need for development, accessing resources, and understanding what sustainable development entails are explored.
