In particular, where there is controversy, the current options for managing a specific clinical problem are discussed. The publication is managed by four intensivists representing Intensive Care Medicine in Australasia, Europe and North America. For each publication these Editors collectively agree a list of topics whilst the commissioning and editing of each book is assumed by a different member of this group on a four year cycle.
