Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition and printing. In near fine, smart russet coloured cloth boards with black sketch of three children with dog and man by out building to front and black titles to spine. The boards are very tight, straight and clean; spine end edges firm. Unmarked white end papers. The text block is very firm, even and clean - near fine condition. Illustrated with nice black and white drawings by Alison Farthing. No dedications etc. Inside near fine pictorial dust jacket with four children in a cart pulled by a donkey on green background.
