About the Author
Aldous Huxley was born in 1894 near Godalming, Surrey. He began writing poetry and short stories in his early twenties, but it was his first novel, ‘Crome Yellow’ (1921), which established his literary reputation. This was swiftly followed by ‘Antic Hay (1923), ‘Those Barren Leaves’ (1925) and ‘Point Counter Point ‘(1928) – bright, brilliant satires in which Huxley wittily passed judgement on the shortcomings of contemporary society.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 3rd Edition. Boards have a small mark to the spine and the rear. The upper edge of the page block is lightly foxed and has a light stain that does not encroach internally, otherwise sharp and unmarked. DJ with a cover image showing Blake's "Angel Striding Through Stars" is somewhat lightly age toned and foxed with light wear to extremities. The upper edge of the DJ has two small closed tears and a larger open tear at the spine-head which encroaches about 3cm. VG/G. Seller Inventory # GE509*
