Synopsis

Artemis “Minnie” Carlisle believes she has the perfect life. She loves reigning as queen of Angel City High School and is not afraid to put others in their place. Although she is aware that her character can be a bit mean, she is adamant to change for no one and nothing.

Minnie resides in fictional Angel City, North Carolina where, since kindergarten, she has been best friends with the shy, Marley Aprilson and the rebellious, Callista Arden. However, sometime in late middle school, Callista broke away from the group and for reasons unbeknownst to Minnie, began to target her. By senior year, the now pregnant Callista has made it clear she wants nothing to do with Minnie, although Minnie still has the desire to salvage the friendship with a girl she considers a sister.

Suddenly, Minnie receives word that her boyfriend is having an affair with Callista and although she is heartbroken, she gathers up the strength and courage to confront Callista privately in a stairwell. The confrontation doesn’t quite goas planned and upon the realization that their friendship is no longer salvageable, Minnie bids farewell to Callista. Unfortunately, as Minnie turns to walk away, Callista meets an unexpected death in that stairwell.

Chaos engulfs the life of Minnie and her family immediately afterwards, as she is deemed Callista’s murderer and Minnie’s idealistic life is completely shattered. Angel City turns against her and the rest of the Carlisle’s and she is shunned, physically and verbally attacked and ostracized by people she once thought she was better than and those she once thought were her friends. Unfortunately, it is not until an intense confrontation that Minnie discovers the truth of how her own flawed and malicious character played a big part in the nightmare that has now become her life.

born in suburban, Columbia, South Carolina on December 7th, 1993. I was born into a large family, my mother being the 13th out of 14 children. Despite our ups and downs, the love we had for one another remained constant. From the time I was young, I had always had a gift for writing. I believe my vivid imagination gives me the ability to create great plots and interesting characters within a story. I always loved to make up stories. I had first began working on Blood On White Roses when I was a junior at Irmo High School then took a hiatus until sometime in my senior year. Though it was sometimes challenging, I had become more devoted to completing it. I consider Blood On White Roses my masterpiece, although it is my first story and I take great pride in the time and effort I placed into it over these few years.
