Synopsis

The true story of a red cock-a-poo rescued from the streets by a rescue shelter and adopted into his forever home. Rusty has a problem with resource guarding (obsessing over an object and then compulsively defending it as his) that led to his being a stray on the streets and is part of his personality. The book follows Rusty's adventures on the street, at the rescue shelter, and in his forever home. The authors hope that the book will encourage parents and children to adopt a rescue dog rather than buy a puppy mill or pet shop dog. All profits from sales go to Carolina Poodle Rescue (www.CarolinaPoodleRescue.org)

About this title

About the Author

Fred and Jeri Abrams have adopted multiple rescue dogs and are advocates and supporters of Carolina Poodle Rescue (CPR) where they adopted their current dogs. Their goal is to connect with young people and convince them that adopting a rescue is preferable to buying a pet shop or puppy mill dog. Fred and Jeri are the authors of the only book on Amazon (Thanks For The Dance) written by an ordinary widow/widower couple on dealing with the loss of a spouse.
