Before there was Little League Baseball... Before Jackie Robinson broke baseball's color line... There was... Marvin Daniel Price. A little boy from Chicago who would make history as baseball's youngest pro. I Am A Baseball Player captures the energy and indomitable spirit of a young boy in the 1940s who would become a modern day role model by living up to the daily mantra of his youth... "I Am A Baseball Player!"
Beautifully written and warmly illustrated, this previously untold story of an unsung sports hero is an inspiration and a gift to anyone with a desire to make an impossible dream, possible.
