About the Authors

Mary grew up in the west roping and riding which gave her a bold western identity. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and her cowgirl spirit has grown stronger through life experiences and living in the cowboy state. The strong roots of the western lifestyle and horses has given her the character to manage the challenges and change required for a military wife and mother of four. "Horses truly teach us about ourselves and others and heal broken hearts." To be able to share her love of horses and have her daughter illustrate her tales is the grandest adventure. Her hope is that you will laugh and smile as you see a little bit of life through a horse's eyes and learn to dance in your storms.

Roslan was raised under the same beautiful western skies. Roslan's love of horses, along her natural talent in art, made her the obvious choice for illustrator. The bright colors and fun characters mesmerize little ones who love the stories. Roslan is attending the University of Wyoming where she is studying to become an elementary school art teacher. Her passion is to share some of the horses she has loved is obvious through her bright, bold colors and skill in watercolor.

Rusty is a Wyoming native. He was born near the beautiful mountains of Laramie. He has his own way of looking at life as a horse. He lives in the moment, wants to do the right thing, dances in the storms and is mostly interested in grazing. When you gain his trust he will be a friend for life.
