About the Author

Kerry Nelson grew up in San Francisco, and graduated from Peace and Conflict Studies and Library and Information Studies from UC Berkeley. Inspired by social justice movements, for two decades she consulted, volunteered and advocated with non-profits, unions, and individuals in the U.S., southern Africa and the U.K. She currently works as a retreat manager at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, advocates for action on climate change, and offers One Small Difference and One Small Planet workshops through her website placeforpeace.org.
