Synopsis
My Life: The One He Never Got To Witness is the story of what it was like for Cierra growing up in a fatherless home where she was forced to grow up fast and take on adult responsibilities and emotional burdens. Cierra discusses the death of a parent, what it was like growing up around drug addiction and alcoholism, gang banging and near death experiences. It touches on domestic abuse, homelessness and countless failed relationships. Cierra combines lived experiences and meticulous historical research to detail her family legacy of love, loss, and perseverance. Along the way, she learned life lessons which she shares with her readers in hopes that they will learn from her mistakes. In the end, her family and God helped her make it through.

About the Author
Cierra Thurman is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in a gang infested neighborhood where high crime rates and drugs were considered the norm. From a young age, Cierra was determined to make it out the "hood." Her family's transition to the suburbs and a full athletic scholarship to play Division One basketball was her ticket! People who know her describe her as an "old soul." She loves to exercise, but only to combat her cravings for Southern comfort food. Cierra is currently a police officer armed with a Master's Degree from Loyola University. She prides herself on her dual education, book smarts and street smarts. This resilient young woman is determined to not allow her past to dictate her future. Author, publisher, and speaker. When she's not writing, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and a healthy dose of reality TV shows.
