On the Oregon coast, a group of five young adults eventually converge by chance and design in order to plan and execute a project for the Paunder Avian Academy, a unique private junior college. Following the developments of students over two years, the story builds into that of a family moving towards a common end: the mission to bring about a positive impact in the world.Experience the joys and tragedies, the fears and hopes, the laughter and the tears, the love and the loneliness of these young people as they go forth into this bold new adventure. Their journeys lead them to a new level of consciousness, and to each other. But will the guild last long enough to make their project a reality?

Julie Starr has been established on the Oregon coast since 1993. She was originally from northern California, but was transplanted to Oregon in 1974. After ending up in Portland, she started her own family. Eventually she chose the Lincoln City area as her home. Along with a love of horses, dogs, and other animals, Julie has multiple passions, the oldest of which is making art from drawing to glass; the most gratifying is helping people via hypnotherapy. This approach has allowed her clients to discover their own self-worth and acceptance as they work on self-improvement goals. With the support of Jim, her life partner, she runs a small alpaca farm. It is their hope to someday be directly involved with improving the welfare of horses who've been discarded. She also writes fiction and non-fiction, enjoys managing their home and the woods in which it is situated, and loves the varied beauty that beach life offers. The concepts of compassion, tolerance, and truly living every day are important goals for her as an individual and for humanity as a whole. As such, the International Day of Peace was the planned release date for this book. The Quintet Approach, Pangolin Guild is her first novel.
