Carly couldn’t believe she was under arrest. One of the young men she’d been with in the car had robbed a convenience store. The Judge sentenced her to six years in jail with the possibility of an early parole, and although she was refused the first parole, she was granted one a year later. Violating her parole, she fled the state. Prison had taught Carly computer skills and she’d used those skills to obtain a contract job four states away. Her boss liked Carly’s work ethic and offered her full-time employment with the company. Carly’s life had changed - she’d found a way out.
