Synopsis

Teddy bears Bennington and Valentina search for spring on Fox Hill. In their last adventure they built a snowman during winter, but they are eager to get outside and play in the warm weather. They discover crocuses and daffodils near their home, and as they end up near Willow Creek they find a great bush full of pussy willows. As they begin to head home at the end of the afternoon, Bennington runs into a patch of burdock burrs that get stuck all over him. As they get close to Fox Hill, they see two baby foxes that run down into their den. The two bears decide to wait and see if they will come back up. To their great amazement the kits come up and sit in the warm sunshine. Valentina sings to them and they fall fast asleep.They end their day by drawing a map of their adventures. About the Author

Stryker Ostafew was born in British Columbia and grew up exploring the Rocky Mountains. He moved to New York State for college and got his Master's degree in Creative Writing with a thesis in nature poetry. He currently is a New York State public school teacher in Williamsville, NY with advanced certifications in administration. He trains teachers and students in educational technology and infuses his work with his love for writing, illustrating, and photography.
