Synopsis
A crowd gathers for a hanging at dusk. The townsfolk of Gulchwood Pass, a Western settlement in mid-1800’s United States, look on in amusement. The victim is none other than the mayor of this small town and everyone in attendance is thrilled. That is, until a young priest from out of town walks upon the scene.At every turn, it seems like the town is out to get Galen Maeron as he struggles to unravel the truth behind the unsettling scene he witnessed. His journey from seedy underbelly to dank pit is hounded by a specter of death. There are few he can trust in this town of scoundrels and bastards, and fewer by the day. Can he make sense of the ruinous forces behind this town, or will he suffer a fate worse than death?
