Robert now resides in Mexico where he spends his time writing, quail hunting, and helping other bird dog owners learn the finer points of training, while giving them lessons on how to handle and prevent problems with their hunting dogs. He’s currently under the tutelage of his school teacher wife, and is being trained on the proper procedure of cleaning his muddy boots before entering the house.
