In 1891, Ada Bauer wishes she could go forward a hundred years, to a time when women have the vote, crime and poverty have been conquered, and -- most importantly -- big sisters don't need to look after little kids anymore. In 1991, Amber Burak wishes she lived a hundred years ago, when drugs and pollution hadn't been invented, everyone lived in big houses, and -- most importantly -- parents didn't get divorced. But who expected the candy-eating inhabitant of the well in the Haunted Lot to actually grant wishes?
Synopsis
Two twelve-year-old girls in San Antonio, Texas, Ada in 1891 and Amber in 1991, switch places through a magic well and try desperately to return to their own times.
