Emerson B. Powery, Professor of Biblical Studies at Messiah College, was a contributor to the Wesley Study Bible and co-authored Invitation to the New Testament (a short-term DISCIPLE Bible study). He wrote Jesus Reads Scripture and was one of the lead editors for True to Our Native Land: An African American New Testament Commentary.
