About the Author
Thomas Ricks, the Pentagon correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and won a Society of Professional Journalists Award for best feature reporting for his writing on the Marine Corps. He lives in Silver Spring, Maryland.
